Plymouth Kitchen Flood

01

The challenge

A kitchen sink left running flooded this Plymouth home, pushing inches of standing water across the floor and down into the finished lower level. The water soaked cabinets and flooring, and the dated, closed-in kitchen needed a full tear-out and rebuild.

02

Our approach

We dried out the structure, then rebuilt from the studs. One team carried water mitigation, demolition, cabinetry, and finish carpentry through both levels — opening the closed-in kitchen into a full island layout and restoring the lower-level entertaining space in the same pass.

03

The results

The main level came back brighter and more open. Dark cherry cabinets, a contrasting grey island, and light quartz counters replaced the dated kitchen, over a white tile backsplash. Downstairs, the entertaining level was refinished with cream walls, new carpet, and a rebuilt bar.

Cause of loss: a kitchen sink left running, which put inches of standing water across the kitchen floor and sent it down into the finished lower level. Style direction: old-world, traditional, warm.

The water forced a full rebuild — and with the kitchen already open to the studs, it was the moment to fix a layout that had always felt closed in. Dark cherry cabinetry, a contrasting grey island, and light quartz counters replaced the dated finishes, and a white tile backsplash brightened the room.

The lower level, where the family entertains, took the most water and came back as a finished space again: cream walls and new carpet, earthy accents, and a rebuilt bar and pool-table room. It is the pattern behind most water damage restoration in Plymouth — the same team that dries out the loss can rebuild the rooms better than they were.
